Materials & Sizing

You can use new fabric or make this an eco-friendly project using scraps:

• Outer Fabric: 30 cm (approx. 12″) of heat-resistant cotton or linen. This is enough to cut two 29 × 29 cm pieces. Fabric scraps are a great choice.
• Lining Fabric: 30 cm (approx. 12″) of firm, breathable cotton like calico. You will need two 29 × 29 cm pieces cut along the grainline.
• Thread: Strong sewing thread in a color that matches your fabric.
• Filling: Fine sawdust from deciduous (hardwood) trees.

Tip: Clean sawdust for rodents from pet stores works perfectly.

Finished Measurements:

• Round Ham: 27 cm (Diameter), Thickness 8 cm.

Tools & Supplies:

• Sewing machine and hand sewing needle.
• Steam iron or steam generator to help shape the tool.
• Fabric marker, tailor’s pins, and fabric scissors.
• Funnel for stuffing: A regular funnel or a DIY version made from a plastic bottle neck.
