Yarn consumption
- for sewing squares – milk-colored yarn – 40% wool, 20% bamboo, 40% acrylic – 50 g 175 m 191 yards – in two yarns
- for crocheting squares:
- pink-colored yarn – 40% wool, 20% bamboo, 40% acrylic – 50 g 175 m 191 yards
- white color – natural sheep’s wool yarn – 100% wool – combined with thin bobbin semi-wool – 80% wool, 20% acrylic – in 4-6 yarns – purple, blue, beige and milk color
- blue colored yarn – 49% wool, 51% acrylic – 100 g 240 m 262 yards
- light blue yarn – 60% cotton, 40% polyacryl – 50 g 165 m 180 yards
Any yarn that holds its shape well and is not too stretchy can be used. The composition of the yarn can vary from acrylic, wool, semi-wool or cotton, depending on the needs. You can also combine any color and type of yarn.
If you use different yarns, make sure that the thickness is approximately the same, as this will determine the size of the square motif.
Hooks and other tools
- for crochet square motifs – hook 5 mm (H-8)
- for stitching the motifs and crochet border the blanket – hook 4.5 mm or 5 mm (G-6 or H-8)
- for bloсking of the motifs and the finished blanket – a steam iron and ironing board,
as well as a piece of cotton fabric slightly larger than the size of the square or blocking board
- scissors, fabric marker, tailor pins
- masking tape for marking motifs (if necessary)
