Materials & Sizing
You can use new fabric or make this an eco-friendly project using scraps:
- Outer Fabric: 40 cm (approx. 16″) of natural, heat-resistant cotton or linen. This is enough to cut two main pieces (37 × 22 cm). You can use fabric scraps or combine different materials for each side.
- Lining Fabric: 40 cm (approx. 16″) of light to medium-weight natural cotton, such as calico or white cotton. This amount is sufficient to cut two main pieces (37 × 22 cm) along the grainline.
- Thread: Strong sewing thread in a color that matches your fabric.
- Filling: Fine sawdust from deciduous (hardwood) trees.
Tip: Clean sawdust typically sold in pet stores for small rodents is a perfect option.

Tools & Supplies:
- Sewing machine and hand sewing needle.
